Hey there! I’m Emily, a Mexican, bilingual, alt stylist working at Van Hair Collective in Des Moines’ East Village. I believe that people should be able to express themselves freely and feel confident in their skin, and I want to help! If I can help people get a step closer to living their most authentic self, it is my honor and I will do it with pride and joy as well as excitement! Some of my favorite hair to do behind the chair include: razor cuts, edgy and experimental hair, short hair, and fun colors! I would describe my style as bold, fun, chaotic (but in the best way), eccentric, and experimental. If I am not doing hair, you can probably catch me at concerts, listening to music, hanging out with friends, practicing my latte art as a barista on the weekends, or visiting my family back in Sioux City (what can I say? I like to keep myself busy!).
